It’s not about what’s for rent. It’s about what’s worth renting.
That’s the idea behind RentMatch, a Seattle-based company that launched in twelve cities, including Philadelphia, last month. RentMatch, a self-described “TripAdvisor for renters,” offers reviews, information and photos on rental properties.
A TechStars graduate, RentMatch was founded by Phillip Lee. Lee said he chose Philly as a launch city because “its rental market is very similar to the rest of the nation, unlike a city like New York, which is broker dominated and overly complicated.” RentMatch plans to hire on-the-ground community managers, a spokesman said.
