Drexel University‘s Baiada Institute, a business incubator that houses both student and non-student companies, is moving to a new location in early October, said Baiada’s executive director Mark Loschiavo.

Currently located at 3225 Arch Street, the incubator will move to Drexel’s new $92 million LeBow College of Business headquarters at 3200 Market Street. The Institute will be on the third floor of the 12-story, 177,500-square-foot building, according to a Baiada blog post. As shown by the floor plan below, it appears to take up about one-third of the third floor.

The current Baiada Institute usually housed about eight to ten companies, often winners of its fall incubator competition. In summer 2012, the Institute expanded its scope to support more student-run companies.

In case you’ve forgotten, Drexel has been making a serious entrepreneurship and technology push, and this is yet another part of that. Read about those efforts here.

It’s also a big part of Drexel president John Fry’s big vision for his part of the University City engine.
