First Person Arts brings you monthly “Story Slams,” live shows where Philadelphians get to share their stories, and now it wants to up the ante, with a weekly podcast featuring stories from its live events, music from local bands and listener-contributed stories. The podcast will be produced by accomplished local public media veteran Yowei Shaw.

But first it needs to raise $15,000. Contribute on Kickstarter here by the end of the month.

The podcast will solicit listener stories through a Google Voice hotline, said First Person Arts spokeswoman Karina Kacala.

Don’t forget the upcoming Story Slam, themed “Geek Out,” during Philly Tech Week.
