Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 includes 28 Phila.-region firms [Philadelphia Business Journal] “The highest ranked Philadelphia-area company, at 32, was MeetMe Inc., the New Hope, Pa.-based social networking company, whose revenue grew 5,300 percent from 2007 to 2011. The company’s local roots go back to myYearbook, which Catherine and David Cook founded when they were in high school and brought their brother, Geoff Cook, in to run it. Quepasa Corp. bought myYearbook for $100 million last year and the entire company rebranded itself as MeetMe (NYSE:MEET) last summer.” Find our coverage of myYearbook here.

In time for Christmas season, mall getting Apple store [Philadelphia Business Journal] “Apple will open a site at Willow Grove Park on Saturday at 10 a.m. The address is 2500 W. Moreland Road. The first 1,000 customers will receive a commemorative T-shirt. In the King of Prussia Mall, Apple will relocate into larger space in early December, though a firm date has not been set. At 10,000 square feet, the new store will be the largest in the area, the mall said.”
