Food entrepreneurs now have their own incubator space in West Philly.
Built by The Enterprise Center, a nonprofit economic development agency, the Dorrance H. Hamilton Center for Culinary Enterprises is a shared commercial kitchen space. The goal of the Center is, like many of the incubators around town, to accelerate business growth by providing space and services to food entrepreneurs, says the Center’s director Delilah Winder.
The Center also has an “eKitchen,” equipped with technology that allows for kitchen demonstrations.
Though the ribbon-cutting was held last month, the space is not open yet, Winder says. She expects it to open in a few weeks.
