Telephony company Alteva opened a new headquarters on Independence Mall (401 Market St.) last week to accommodate the company’s growth.

The company, which used to be headquartered a few blocks away at the Bourse in Old City and still maintains its office space there, is the ninth largest hosted IP telephony and UC provider, according to Frost and Sullivan. Its new headquarters is triple the size of its old office at 9,075 sq.ft.

Alteva has 56 employees, with 30 staffers in the new headquarters and 26 in the Bourse, said Rachel Romeo, VP of Talent Engagement and Acquisition through a spokeswoman.
