Social media was the topic of a recent dispute in the messy back-and-forth between the two, the Philadelphia Daily News reported earlier this month. The firefighters union was upset after Fire Commissioner Lloyd Ayers issued a memo on social media guidelines.

The union also used its Twitter account to speak out against the new social media policy, as Metro pointed out.
