Apple retailer Springboard Media celebrates its newest location at 2206 Walnut St. on Saturday. The move makes way for Philadelphia Game Lab, the game developer coworking space from Nathan Solomon, to open in the old Springboard location down the block at 2212 Walnut St.

The new location has more of a shop feel, said Springboard Media President Everett Katzen, while its nearby former spot was more of an office. Its overall footprint is 1,400 square foot, which includes private training rooms and showroom somewhat smaller than its previous location.

A bunch of Apple products will be on sale at the opening. Next month, Katzen says Springboard Media will launch education events at its also new, larger 6,000 square foot Gayborhood corporate headquarters, featuring workshops and training for programs like Final Cut Pro and Photoshop.

Full disclosure: Springboard Media is a past Technically Philly sponsor.
