For those of you that follow along with our events highlights, you know we like to pick the top three goings-on to share.
But this week, there’s so many great, free technology happenings that we can’t pick just three. Wednesday alone has—count ’em—seven events that all seem promising. That’s half of the 15 organized events this week. On a single day. Better take off Thursday while you can and see our breakdown after the jump.
Thursday, Verizon Wireless hosts a free, all-day wireless industry conference that looks put together. Sunday, we at Technically Philly will be in Cherry Hill to talk tech. Come on out if you’d like to heckle us, represent Philly’s vibrant tech community or talk shop with us after the event. And now, for the marathon…
All events listed on the event calendar are free to attend. Be sure to check our complete calendar for more.

Wednesday, April 14th: Like we said, Wednesday is packed. If you’re hoping to shake up your company’s IT department for the better, start the day with Penn State Great Valley’s Green IT symposium, an all-day conference which is free, mind you.
GoodCompany Ventures, our local social entrepreneurship incubator will host a launch party. Even though they’re working with businesses for social good, don’t feel bad about throwing back a few with these folks.
Before next week’s huge Entrepreneur Week (also listed on our calendar), Empowerment Group hosts an event always welcome in our opinion: advice on how to start a business. Share ideas with other business-minded folks and decide if you’re ready to take the plunge.
Note: If you were planning on attending the createAdelphia job fair, it has been postponed to the fall “due to scheduling conflicts.” All Day. Throughout. See Wednesday’s full listings. [view more events]
Thursday, April 15th: Thursday, wireless experts will convene at Penn to talk about the mobile industry in an event sponsored heavily by Verizon. There’s something about the registration page‘s black Droid background that makes it look legit. Tell us how that one goes. All Day. University City. RSVP [view more events]
Sunday, April 18th: On Sunday, Technically Philly will present to patrons of the Cherry Hill Public Library an hour-long talk about how technology impacts our lives, with an emphasis on new consumer electronics, the rise of social media, the changing media landscape, and the region’s technology community. We’ll be around to chat afterwards, and we’ll have some products from Springboard Media to demo, like Apple’s new iPad. 1:30 p.m. Cherry Hill. [view more events]
If you have an event that you think we should be listing, email us or fill out our submission form for best results. We promise that no submission falls in to the contact form netherworld.
