Updated 6/27/13 11:27 a.m.: A previous version of this article said that Tech Cocktail had compiled the list.

The only Philadelphian on the list, Tracey Welson-Rossman was named a woman over 40 to watch. The list was compiled by Christina Vuleta and Whitney Johnson in order to bring attention to “the reality that innovation gets even better with age.”

Welson-Rossman, 41, is “raising the tech profile of girls and a city,” according to the list. The Chief Marketing Officer of Chariot Solutions and founder of TechGirlz, a nonprofit that aims to get more girls in the technology pipeline, recently announced that she would be hiring staff for TechGirlz in order to make the organization sustainable.
