NYC-based home services startup Handybook expands to Baltimore

Handybook, a New York City startup that allows users to hire cleaners, repairmen or other workers for completing household tasks, is expanding to Baltimore.
According to the Baltimore Business Journal:

The expansion marks another phase in a recent growth spurt for the New York City startup, which is hoping to beat its competitors to developing a worldwide brand in the still-emerging market for in-home services. With Handybook’s app or website, users can hire repair men, furniture assemblers, cleaners or other professionals to help around the house.

Handybook will be competing with Homejoy, a similar service that launched in Baltimore last summer that allows users to hire local cleaning services to come to their houses.
