Meet Baltimore Orioles

The Baltimore Orioles are a professional baseball team in Major League Baseball’s American League East.

The Orioles have won three World Series and boast five hall of famers, including Frank Robinson, Brooks Robinson, manager Earl Weaver and the “Iron Man” himself, Cal Ripken.

Since 1992, the Orioles have played at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, notable for pioneering a neo-retro look adopted by many new baseball stadiums since then. The Maryland Stadium Authority, which owns the ballpark (and nearby M&T Bank Stadium) leases space in the iconic B&O Warehouse, much of which is used by the team, MSA and broadcaster MASN, in which the team holds a majority stake.

The Orioles’ majority owner is lawyer Peter G. Angelos and helmed by general manager Dan Duquette, formerly of the Boston Red Sox. Manager Buck Showalter has also served as skipper for the New York Yankees, Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers.

The team’s spring training home is Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, FL.
