DSU is hosting one of the first TEDx events at a historically Black college

TEDxDover organizers and Delaware State University are teaming up to host one the first ever citywide TEDx events held at an historically Black college or university (HBCU), with the mission of of exposing students at these universities to the power of TED, according to WilmU’s Dan Young, who’s organizing the event.
“We are so excited to come to Delaware State University and present some of the finest speakers in the country, who will be speaking on the major issues in our society,” he said.
It’s going down on Saturday, February 11 from 9 a.m.  to 1 p.m. in the Martin Luther King Building on DSU’s campus in Dover. The event, which is independently organized and licensed by TED, will include talks aligning with the theme “On the Wings of Diverse Thought.”

TEDxDover also conducted the TEDx talk hosted before the Firefly Music Festival in June of 2016, in an effort to engage out-of-town travelers for the festival to learn more about the talented speakers in the state of Delaware.
