Meet these 10 technologists at Girl Develop It Wilmington’s speed mentoring event

This seems like a solid networking and advice opportunity for community members interested in software development.

The Wilmington chapter of Girl Develop It (GDI) is set to host what they’re calling a “speed mentoring” event for community members trying to start a career in tech and development. It’s happening next week on February 8, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Delaware College of Art and Design.
Those who attend will, according to the Meetup page, “connect with experts in the technology field to quickly pick up a new skill, find a solution to a nagging problem, or ask for advice on just about anything.”
GDI’s collected a group of ten mentors with careers in graphic design, project management, UX management and back and front-end development. They include Mary Childress, a senior telecom system engineer at Barclaycard US; Jocelyn Harper, a developer at JPMorgan Chase who spoke at our Delaware Innovation Week 2016 Dev TalksCarly Karas, a UX strategist at The Archer Group and Aiyani Martin, a Zip Code Wilmington grad who now works as an engineer at Bank of America.
The event organizers told us over email that it’s being sponsored by the Microsoft Store in the Christiana Mall, so they’ll be able to provide light snacks and drinks. Come hungry for advice and snacks, it sounds like.
If you’re interested in attending, hit the RSVP below.
