This archaeologist-turned-engineer wants to teach you how to build a website

Have you always wondered what it would take to build a website? Well, Girl Develop It wants you to stop wondering. Archer Group’s front end developer Elizabeth Cottrell is teaching an intro to HTML and CSS class at 1313 Innovation next month.
Cottrell herself wasn’t always a web developer. She actually started her career out as an archeologist. She also served on a panel of women who transitioned into tech and moderated a panel at Delaware Innovation Week 2016 on the same subject. Cottrell has been there and she gets it: learning something new takes a lot of work, so you know the environment will be supportive.
The weekend course will be taught over two days, January 21 and 22. The lesson kicks off each day at 11 a.m. and will wrap up around 4 p.m. There’s a 30-minute lunch built into the schedule. The course costs $80.
