Girl Develop It is a nonprofit organization that exists to create equity within the tech industry by teaching adult women how to code. The national nonprofit is also inviting nearly 6,700 of their regional members to Wilmington next weekend for its first ever East Coast hackathon. Why not make a donation to the year-old Wilmington Girl Develop It chapter in someone’s name? You can donate to the organization here, “but it has to be a donation of $500 before half can go to our local chapter,” said local chapter organizer Megan Anthony-Keogh.
