This teacher is bringing astronaut training exercises into the classroom

Newark teacher Jenny Rovner is taking her experience at Space Camp this past summer and shaping it into a STEM lesson for her class.
The program, held at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Ala., trains 205 teachers from across the country every year. Teachers in the program are put through astronaut training, intended to give them the skills to lead efficiently in the classroom.
Rovner plans on borrowing some of those exercises to implement in the classroom.
“What I thought would be great to bring back to the classroom is, I want my students to not only do that, but then obviously see where there were failures and then come back, and we’ll do it again,” she told Delaware Public Media.
