Local Amazon ecommerce service provider Amify opens a second HQ in Ohio

Currently headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, Amify's Cincinnati office welcomed two key hires to lead the team there, which will be working close to Amazon's Prime Air Hub.

Arlington, Virginia-based Amify has opened a second headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio, to support its growth plan.

Launched in 2010, the company provides tech and services designed to help small businesses and brands maximize their selling potential on the Amazon Marketplace. This expansion comes a few months after Amify relocated its Alexandria, Virginia-based headquarters to Arlington, near the site of Amazon’s second headquarters.

It’s not clear whether the expansion will affect Amify’s Virginia employees, of which it reported 60 in March when it announced $5.8 million in Series A funding.

Amify reported that it’s expanding to Cincinnati to tap into the city’s marketing, advertising and client success talent pool, and to be near a new hub from Amazon: The ecommerce giant is also working on some expansion plans in Cincinnati, which will be a Prime Air Hub at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG), valued at $1.5 billion. CVG is a prominent cargo airport and Amazon is partnering to bring its primary hub where it will support a fleet of more than 100 cargo planes for its Amazon Prime operation, a press release states.

Amify worked with REDI Cincinnati and JobsOhio to establish its new Cincinnati headquarters, with plans to add 90 jobs to the region. The company also has a warehouse in Hebron, Kentucky, which is near CVG. The Cincinnati location will be situated in a converted firehouse in the city’s East Walnut Hills area.

“Amify will play a pivotal role in helping to build on the growing ecosystem of tech companies within the region, which is being influenced by Amazon’s Prime Air Cargo Hub,” said Kimm Lauterbach, president and CEO of REDI Cincinnati, in a statement. “We look forward to supporting Amify as the company helps position others for success, offering its expertise and finding ways to strategically take advantage of the hub’s presence for growth.”

This expansion also comes with some key hires. Sean Lee, former Proctor & Gamble executive, has joined the Amify team as VP of marketing. Lee brings almost a decade of corporate branding and marketing experience to the company. Jana Roszkowski, former managing director at VMLY&R, has been hired as Amify’s VP of client success. Roszkowski brings nearly two decades of project management and client success experience at marketing and branding agencies to the team.

Lee and Roszkowski will work together to lead the Amify team at the Cincinnati office.

“Amazon has become a powerful platform for consumer brands, and Amify is a key player in helping them unlock their Amazon potential,” Roszkowski said in a statement. “I’m excited to join the Amify team, and I look forward to working with our clients to help them define their strategy to optimize sales and profitability on Amazon.”
