Relive all 360 degrees of the Women’s March on Washington

On Friday Jan. 20 while Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration parade marched along Pennsylvania Avenue, a small but somewhat destructive group of protesters gathered on K Street. Of course, the media was there in force.

At one point, while traversing the block of K Street between 13th and 14th, just in front of the Washington Post offices, I spotted a guy holding a 360 degree camera. Even amid the myriad recording devices on display that day, they’re pretty recognizable. And I wasn’t the only one who saw it.

“Is that a 360 degree camera?” I heard a young man ask the videographer, “cool!” And they were off, discussing the ins and outs of the tech, completely ignoring the surrounding riot police and tanks and burning limo.

The next day, at the Women’s March on Washington, Edward Holder of Content, a New York-based immersive media production firm, was recording his own 360 degree footage. And from that footage Holder put together a short but beautiful video of the event — from metro to march. Relive the day’s events by giving it a watch:
