Back in July, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority released a beta version of the new wmata.com — the first time the much-maligned agency had overhauled its web presence in eight whole years.
The goals for the new site? That it be easier to use and work on mobile. Smart.
At the time, WMATA planned to accept feedback for a period before officially releasing the site in late summer. Well, summer has come and gone but here’s one piece of good news — the new wmata.com is officially live.
The site looks quite similar to its beta version, which is to say a huge improvement on the old site. According to WMATA on Twitter, there are more features still forthcoming. Check out the site, designed by 16th Street-based Fig Leaf Software, here.
