The company that started off with wedding registries for charitable giving is also offering holiday gift options.

Heartful.ly, D.C.’s wedding registry for charitable giving, has launched into yet another new area of celebration-induced giving. Just in time for the holidays, the company launched a “gifts for good” registry where users can donate to a cause and dedicate that donation to a loved one.
The new offering comes as the company is working to expand into more occasions — in February, Heartful.ly planned a #sharethelove campaign for Valentine’s Day.
Want to help send an underprivileged child to camp? There’s a Heartful.ly gift for that. Or, donate to empower women in India through sports or make life safer for Syrian refugees — there are six different gift options on the holiday registry, representing partnerships with six different nonprofits at home and overseas. It’s a nice addition to our #dctech gift guide.

Heartful.ly recently marked one year in business with a party featuring ice cream and silly hats at The Loft at 600 F. During the party, founder Kate Glantz mentioned that introducing charitable giving options to more of life’s celebrations (birthdays, bar mitzvahs, etc.) will be a focus of the company’s second year.
