She Started It, launched in 2013, is a documentary film about what it really means to be a female tech entrepreneur. The goal? To inspire more entrepreneurship among young women by showcasing a few badass role models.
The film follows five young women over the course of two years, taking viewers “on a global roller coaster ride from San Francisco to Mississippi, France and Vietnam.” And if this sounds pretty cool to you (*raises hand*) then you’re in luck — D.C. is getting its very own screening.
On Nov. 15 (during Global Entrepreneurship Week, no less), The World Bank will host filmmakers Nora Poggi and Insiyah Saeed for a panel discussion and a screening of the film. Don’t miss it — there’s information as to how to RSVP here.
SAVE THE DATE! @SheStartedIt to screen at @WorldBank 11/15. RSVP: zlu1@worldbank.org. #WiSci2017 #womenintech @USCTO @letgirlslearn @FLOTUS
