Take a virtual reality trip to Yosemite with POTUS

What’s better than a tour of Yosemite National Park in California? A tour of Yosemite National Park narrated by President Barack Obama, that’s what. And as an added bonus — you can take this tour on your lunch break today.
Last week, in honor of the National Park Service centennial, the White House released the first-ever virtual reality film starring POTUS. The film, available both as a virtual reality video in the Oculus store and as a 360-degree video on Facebook, was produced by National Geographic, Felix & Paul Studios and Oculus.

The video follows the first family’s trip to the park in June. In it, you can see Marine One land in the valley, watch POTUS chat with park rangers and listen to his musings on the history and value of national parks set over video of stunning vistas, waterfalls and running creeks.
It’s a cool experience of education and policy through new technology — but don’t forget to visit a park or two the old fashioned way. Pro tip: In D.C., this is pretty easy.
