The government is not always synonymous with groundbreaking tech innovation, or even with policies that support such innovation. The disastrous launch of HealthCare.gov is an oft-cited example of the incompetence of government tech.
But the U.S. government’s approach to tech is changing, and members of the D.C. tech community — those who work with the U.S. Digital Service and 18F — are helping lead the charge.
In this climate, D.C.-based think tank Center for Data Innovation wants to talk about how the U.S. can develop a national strategy for navigating the Internet of Things, and you’re invited.
Interested in ensuring that IoT becomes “an engine for innovation and delivers social and economic value”? Join the Center for Data Innovation at this panel discussion on Dec. 16. The free event will also feature the release of a report detailing the necessity of a national strategy to achieve that aforementioned goal.
