The American Institute of Architects of New York announced the winners of its 2017 Design Awards last week, with several Brooklyn projects making the grade.

These eight projects all won merit or honors recognition from the organization:

In total, there were 378 project entries, from which 35 winners were picked, with 23 of them being in New York.

The Institute will hold an opening reception for display of the awards at its Center for Architecture in Greenwich Village next month.
