“If you are a 35-year-old and you live in [WeLive or Common], you are a loser,” Manhattan real estate developer Ofer Yardeni said at a panel discussion yesterday morning, on the topic of multifamily housing.
Brooklyn coliving startup founder, 31-year-old Brad Hargreaves took umbrage to the remark, challenging Yardeni to a public debate. His company, Common, is the leading coliving company in the country and multiplied in size several times over in 2016.

Yardeni, the 56-year-old CEO of Stonehenge Partners who has completed more than $3 billion in real estate deals in his career, was all too eager to take the upstart to the mat, boasting that all he needed was the time and place, and finishing off the reply with a stone-cold sunglasses emoji.

Not to be outdone, Hargreaves replied just 40 minutes later, saying it was go time.
