Correction: The photos in this post are actually of the "1776 NYC Beta Campus," located in the Navy Yard's Building 280. The Building 77 location will not be open until summer of next year and is still under construction. The headline and portions of the post have been changed. (9/27/16, 4:43 p.m.)

Haot previously served as the Chief Digital Officer and Deputy Secretary for Technology of New York State. Before that she was the city’s Chief Digital Officer.
1776 is based in Washington, D.C., and has expanded to San Francisco and Dubai, in addition to Brooklyn.
The incubator is one of the anchor tenants of Building 77, part of the Brooklyn Navy Yard project the city has invested more than $100 million in developing.
“Once again, New York City is showing the world what inclusive, meaningful entrepreneurship and economic development looks like,” NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio said in a statement. “Partnering with 1776 at the Navy Yard is a big step toward achieving our goal of making our city the global capital of the new innovation economy.”
