In an old church down by Clinton Wharf in Red Hook an artist built 35 kinetic robots, each of which play an instrument or otherwise make a sound.

This weekend the artist, Chico MacMurtrie, along with Obscura Society NY, is opening up the studio for performances called Robotic Church. From Atlas Obscura:

Each of the robots is designed to perform a unique task that creates their singular noise, be it by strumming the strings pulled taught on its body, or by clanging itself against the floor. Some of the robots are controlled by pre-programmed commands while others are played live via computer commands.
