Brooklyn is creating a pipeline for technology talent, whether or not that pipeline leads straight into specific IT businesses.

Here are three new opportunities for elementary and middle school age students to see computers and technology as more than a platform for video games and homework.

GoodEggs

Local food delivery platform Good Eggs wants to give Middle School and Elementary School tours of their Bed-Stuy food hub.

Teachers with classes they would like to take the tour should call the Good Eggs Brooklyn office at 347-382-9900.

If you have any doubt that the space is worth seeing, check out the photos we took when we visited. Also, seems like a very safe bet that the classes that visit will get some excellent snacking samples when and if they go.

Classes take place in Dumbo, from their space inside the IFP Made In NY Media Center, according to a piece out yesterday in DNA Info.

Automatic Studios’ upcoming afterschool session begins April 24 and costs $600 for nine classes. Week-long summer camp sessions start June 16 and cost $675.

Summer classes are open for registrations now. Tip from the page: “Sign Up through Sunday, April 6th and get a 10% off Early Bird Rate! Just use this Coupon Code on the payment page: AUTOMATICDEAL

Brooklyn Robot Foundry

The Brooklyn Robot Foundry has a few sessions in Park Slope this summer that aren’t sold out yet.

Check out their summer sessions in Brooklyn here. They cost anywhere from $360 to $595, but remember that the company does have a scholarship program.

We wrote about this safe space for kids that like to make stuff earlier. Since then, it has expanded to a new location in Tribeca, which had its grand opening March 22nd.
