And so the year 2016 draws swiftly to a close. And what a year it was — the year of Brexit, of the Rio Olympics and of Beyonce’s Lemonade. The year we elected Donald Trump.

Much has, and will, be said about what (geo)political and cultural lessons can be learned from such a year. Thankfully, that’s not (quite) our job. Instead, we’re here to unpack the year 2016 in #dctech trends. Who raised money, worked on cool projects or launched new initiatives? And what was the government up to?
