Jeani Park named new director of cyber development for Martin O’Malley

Jeani Park has been named the director of cyber development inside the Martin O'Malley administration "to head his administration’s cybersecurity agenda."

Jeani Park has been named the director of cyber development inside the Martin O’Malley administration “to head his administration’s cybersecurity agenda.”

From the Baltimore Business Journal’s report:

Park, a commercial cyber security strategist, will be responsible for supporting product development, education and talent recruitment among cyber companies. She will also push for expansion of the state’s cyber security programs and assistance for startup companies. [more]

According to Park’s LinkedIn profile, her job will also be to “grow … the CyberMaryland program for the Department of Business and Economic Development.”
As Technically Baltimore has reported, cybersecurity is a growing industry in Maryland, with more than 13,000 cyber jobs in the Baltimore region alone.
