Check out this alternate history of Baltimore, courtesy of ‘Civilization VI’

The “Rise of the Crab Gods” video may be fictionalized, but the accents sure sound familiar.

Hunt Valley video game stalwart Firaxis Games gives a hometown nod to Baltimore in the most recent edition of the video series “True Tales of Alternate History.”
The video, which is a look at empires in Civilization VI, details a fictional version of Baltimore. In this version, crabs were literally worshipped.
It may be an alternate history, but the citizens have an accent and certain penchant for the word “hon” that’s strangely similar to our own world.

Civilization VI was released last year, 25 years after the original empire-building strategy game created by Sid Meier that’s key to Baltimore’s game development legacy.
