The journey to the tourney is already here for some local orgs.
In October, we offered some preseason prognostications for Brackets for Good, an online fundraising tournament that helps nonprofits raise money.
Now that March is here, the tourney can begin.

The competition is live, and the first round is officially kicked off. They even have 64 teams, just like NCAA March Madness in real life. It’s the first time the competition, which was founded in Indianapolis, appeared in Baltimore.
The points are tallied up by the donations that the nonprofits receive. Rounds like the “Supported 16” and “Philanthropic 4” last multiple days. Whichever nonprofit gets the most votes moves on, until there is only one. The orgs are vying for $10,000.
