Just like the O’s, a new cybersecurity training center is set to have its opening day in April.
The Maryland Cybersecurity Range will open April 10, according to the pair of companies behind the effort. The center will be located in 8 Market Place in Power Plant Live! That building also houses Spark Baltimore, but the Range will be in offices separate from that space.
Initially announced in September during a visit by Gov. Larry Hogan to Israel, the center will provide training to cybersecurity professionals in protecting national assets and infrastructure.
“The approach of realistic hands-on simulation is proving to be the most effective way to train and certify cyber security professionals,” said Adi Dar, Cyberbit’s CEO, said in a statement.
Pikesville-based Electronic Technology Associates is signed on to operate the range. It will use a training platform made by Israel-based Cyberbit that provides realistic environments for training.
