If the tests go well, Port Covington’s bike paths could have a certain glow.
As reported by SouthBmore.com, Sagamore Development is testing an “innovative path material” in the first phase of its path construction.
Sagamore’s Caroline Paff said in a statement that the material absorbs sunlight during the day, then glows at night. It it’s anything like this one in Lidzbark Warminski, Poland, it’ll also add safety.
The new bike path is designed to provide a bike link to the 266-acre development from other South Baltimore neighborhoods. City Garage is among the sites that will be accessible on path.
The site notes that the current bike path construction is not being funded through public or Tax Increment Financing (TIF) funds.
