The STRT1Up Road Show brought the bus to Baltimore for a final stop last week.
Startup founders who were named finalists for the pitch competition portion of the statewide bus tour organized by Startup Maryland moved the pitch venue off the road, and in front of a panel of judges in Mt. Royal. Here’s who won in a pair of categories:
GREAT 8

  • Winner: Quidient.
The Easton-based 3D imaging startup took home the overall prize. They make engine technology for cameras “that measure shape as simply as cameras measure color,” said Scott Ackerson.

RURAL INNOVATION

  • Winner: Chord.
The Harford County-based startup makes a wearable for cats and dogs combines a collar and apps to provide training through invisible fences and leashes.
  • Runner-Up: Real Flexi.
A Harford County-based startup that offers a single fitness membership to provide access to many gyms and studios

The fall tour made prior stops at the TEDCO Entrepreneur Expo and MDCyberDay to announce additional winners in cybersecurity and fan favorite categories.
