Edtech startup Citelighter raises $2.1 million: report

According to EdSurge, the company is getting ready to “accelerate sales and operations.”

For the second year in a row, Citelighter is posting a $2 million funding round.
According to EdSurge, the edtech startup raised a $2.1 million convertible note to “accelerate sales and operations.” Baltimore Angels was among the investors.

Citelighter, a writing platform for students, is now used in 8,600 schools, according to the EdSurge article. The company gained Baltimore buzz after relocating to Charm City from New York. Following last year’s $2 million funding round, Citelighter graduated from Betamore and moved to new offices on Fort Avenue.
