This expo aims to connect big companies with local tech firms: b2Bmore

A business expo slated for the fall is looking to connect Baltimore’s big companies with startups and small local firms that could provide them with services.
b2Bmore (good one) will be held Sept. 16 at the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore’s Charles Street offices. The event is designed to give innovation-focused firms a chance to meet one-on-one with representatives from big companies. Stanley Black & Decker and Constellation Energy were named as companies that will be on hand.
Smaller firms can apply to present at the event.
The event was the brainchild of software development firm SmartLogic. Earlier this year, company founder Yair Flicker told us about the company’s intent to put SmartLogic and other Baltimore tech firms on the radar of the town’s top players.
“Connecting local firms with these top companies will grow Baltimore’s economy,” Flicker said in a statement announcing b2Bmore.
The expo also comes as bigger players in town are becoming more defined members of the city’s tech ecosystem. Under Armour, for instance, made a big tech play by scooping up three fitness apps and plans to open an innovation center.
TEDCO, the Downtown Partnership and the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore are also organizers.
