At the beginning of the four-month DreamIt Health Baltimore accelerator, health IT startup Quantified Care was known as The Smartphone Physical.
As Technical.ly Baltimore reported, Smartphone Physical was a software platform and app that worked with smartphone-compatible medical devices and negated the need for different apps for each different device in order to transfer information collected from the medical devices and stored on a smartphone over to a patient’s electronic health record.
The startup has since renamed itself to Quantified Care, as it explained at DreamIt Demo Day on April 30. In addition to the software platform, Quantified Care also runs an e-commerce store for physicians and hospitals to purchase mobile health devices.
Cofounder Mike Batista said Quantified Care is now raising $500,000 to go toward the startup’s marketing and software development efforts.
