A $500,000 investment from the state’s $84 million InvestMaryland fund helped lure weather and climate data startup Weather Analytics from Virginia.
The $500,000 led a $2 million investment round for Weather Analytics, which now employs 10 people full time in an office in Silver Spring, Md.
According to MDBizNews, the startup “processes more than 6 billion weather measurements every day from a worldwide network of more than 45,000 sensors, including ground stations, buoys, ships, aircraft and balloons.”
