North Dakota-based Noridian Healthcare Solutions LLC is responsible for Maryland Health Connection, the state’s online health insurance marketplace that has been running since Oct. 1, when open enrollment began under the Affordable Care Act.
But it seems as if Rebecca Pearce, executive director of the state exchange, is not pleased about the speed with which Noridian has been fixing what has been a sluggish and error-riddled website.
“While we have been pleased with the interest in Maryland Health Connection, we have not been satisfied with the performance of Maryland’s health insurance website, or with the pace of improvements to the site since it launched on October 1,” Pearce said in a statement.
The Baltimore Sun reports, however, that Pearce said the website is now “fixed,” as of Tuesday.
Since Oct. 1, slightly more than 3,100 Marylanders have enrolled in health insurance via Maryland Health Connection.-30-
