3,186: MD health exchange website enrollment as of Oct. 23 [REPORT]

More than 40,000 accounts with a verified identity have been created since Maryland Health Connection, the state's health insurance exchange website, launched Oct. 1.

As of Oct. 23, the number of Marylanders who have enrolled in health plans via the state health exchange website is 3,186. More than 40,000 accounts with a verified identity have been created sinceĀ Maryland Health Connection, the state’s health insurance exchange website, launched Oct. 1.
Error messages and frozen screens have thwarted the efforts of many people to access the exchange website. A “planned update to the system” just took place from Oct. 19 through Oct. 21. An update report from the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange, which is coordinating the implementation of the Affordable Care Act in Maryland, says “certain functions may be unavailable from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.” daily in order to “perform routine maintenance.”
