Mayor Stephanie ‘Failings-Blake’ is on Twitter

On what is an obvious caricature Twitter account, Mayor Stephanie "Failings-Blake" is pining for #MayorLove.

In a new caricature Twitter account, Mayor Stephanie “Failings-Blake” is pining for #MayorLove.
The account, which Technically Baltimore noticed in operation Monday morning but which first tweeted Sunday, lambasts Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake for politically-charged topics, like the recent vote to approve the tax-increment financing for the Harbor Point Development. (At one point, the account tweeted at us, saying that “Failings-Blake” would have to call Donald Fry of the Greater Baltimore Committee to rectify just one-third of 2011 local venture investment going to the suburbs, presumably because all local venture investment should go to the suburbs.)
Spoof Twitter accounts sometimes evolve into interesting commentaries, something that hasn’t yet fully happened here. You can follow the real Mayor Rawlings-Blake on Twitter here.
From what can be gleaned from the blog referenced in the “Failings-Blake” Twitter bio, the account is controlled by the blogger behind Beyond the Barricade, a “nineteen year old college student who is interested in activism and changing the world for the better.”
