Join Technically Baltimore in at CyberPoint International on July 30 for a presentation about Maryland’s rapidly expanding cybersecurity industry — and how the Baltimore region’s broad, general technology community can become better partners with the state’s cyber sector. Local cyber experts, company founders, university faculty and Maryland state officials will be on hand to talk about what the next steps are in making Maryland the cybersecurity “epicenter,” as Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley said at the 2012 CyberMaryland conference.
Included among the presenters are:

  • James Foster, who worked for several cybersecurity firms that were acquired before launching his own cyber startup Riskive.
  • Peter Kilpe, a creative director at Baltimore city-based CyberPoint.
  • And Ursula Powidzki of Maryland’s Department of Business and Economic Development.
