With tablets provided by downtown-based edtech startup 1sqbox, teachers at the Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women will be able to share lesson plans and grades with their students, while the students learn how to use tablet computers.
The startup sold 60 Android-equipped tablets, at a 50 percent discount, to Baltimore Leadership School for $20,000, reports ABC2.
As Technically Baltimore has reported, 1sqbox recently signed a partnership agreement with Microsoft to create a native Windows 8 app that will mimic the startup’s proprietary classroom management software, which is now in use at Baltimore Leadership School through this new pilot program.
