According to Washington City Paperthe “figures are from the American Community Survey’s 2011 5-Year Estimates,” and each income marked on the map “represents an average of the median household incomes for all populated census tracts within a half mile of the station.”
And the range of incomes? The high point is $147,630 near the Friendship Heights station, the low point is $31,735 in Congress Heights.
