Eric Fiterman, CEO of local cybersecurity startup Spotkick, was featured in a CNNMoney video explaining how hackers use the Shodan search engine to find unsecured devices (computers, webcams and the like) connected to the Internet.
“People are deploying and plugging in things into the Internet oftentimes with little to no security,” said Fiterman.
Spotkick is based out of the Cyber Incubator@bwtech inside the UMBC Research and Technology Park. It’s one of several cybersecurity firms within the Northrop Grumman-sponsored Cync Program.
