Baltimore’s most talented bucket drummers are all in kindergarten through the seventh grade.

The OrchKids is an after-school music program sponsored by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Throughout the year, the program provides music education, instruments and lessons, meals and performance opportunities for students in four schools in East and West Baltimore.

This video is part one of the OrchKids performance at TEDxBaltimore 2013 in January. Leading the bucket band composed of students from Lockerman-Bundy Elementary School in the Harlem Park neighborhood is Brian Prechtl, a percussionist with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
