Biotech firm Noxilizer acquires Japanese SAIAN Corp.

Biotechnology firm Noxilizer, which manufactures sterilization technology for medical devices and equipment, has bought SAIAN Corp. in an assets acquisition, reports the Baltimore Business Journal. According to a statement from the company, “Both companies have been involved in developing nitrogen dioxide as a sterilization solution for pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies, as well as hospitals.” [...]

Biotechnology firm Noxilizer, which manufactures sterilization technology for medical devices and equipment, has bought SAIAN Corp. in an assets acquisition, reports the Baltimore Business Journal.

According to a statement from the company, “Both companies have been involved in developing nitrogen dioxide as a sterilization solution for pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies, as well as hospitals.”

As Technically Baltimore reported in November, Noxilizer has been growing quickly, adding employees and receiving $500,000 from the Mount Vernon-based Abell Foundation. The company recently moved from the UMBC Research and Technology Park to the University of Maryland BioPark.
