Kickstarter of the Week is a new regular series highlighting the technology, creative and innovation Kickstarter campaigns in Baltimore that might be worth your support. See others here.

While local illustrator Joanna Barnum‘s Kickstarter project is fully funded, the only way to purchase one of her “Maryland My Maryland” t-shirts is through her Kickstarter campaign.

Visit Barnum’s Kickstarter page here.

The Maryland Institute College of Art graduate recently finished a series of “tattoo-inspired illustrations celebrating the state of Maryland.” Barnum has decided to take her “Maryland My Maryland” illustration, one of the more popular images in the series, and screen-print it onto t-shirts and hoodies.

A donation of $20 gets you one t-shirt that you have to pick up at Barnum’s house (she’s local, “just northeast of Baltimore,” she says). Spend five bucks more and you’ll get a t-shirt shipped to you. Could be a good investment for those who are bullish on Maryland, but squeamish about tattooing needles.
